We conducted our first Tap Water Challenge on Earth Day 22 April during the movie screening of Tapped at the NTUC Centre. 40 participants were asked to taste 2 types of water (without knowing which is which) – one is tap water from the venue toilet, the other is bottled water (Evian from France).

The results show:

42.5% of the participants think that tap water tastes better.

35% of the participants think that Evian bottled water tastes better.

22.5% of the participants think that tap water and Evian bottled water tastes the same.

The Tap Water Challenge shows that 65% of the participants prefer the taste of tap water or could not taste the difference between tap and bottled water. Why drink bottled water imported all the way from France when you can have clean drinking water from the tap in Singapore?

Support mywaterbottle campaign and start using your refillable water bottles, instead of buying or taking single-use bottled water. Sign our pledge or buy a water bottle today!
